BALTIC-FIT at GreenSEA Dialogue 2026 in Singapore

On 12-13 January 2026, representatives of the BALTIC-FIT project joined the international conference GreenSEA Dialogue 2026 – Green Singapore Europe Advancement for a Sustainable Maritime Future, held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Kristine Carjova (TalTech Estonian Maritime Academy) and Mikael Lind (RISE) were among the invited speakers, contributing to two high-level panels that addressed both technological and collaborative pathways toward maritime sustainability.

On Day 1, Mikael Lind joined Panel 2: Digitalisation – Smart Technologies for Sustainable Shipping, offering insights on how AI, IoT, and data-driven tools can boost operational efficiency across the maritime sector. The session explored how smart technologies can support decarbonisation and shape the digital future of ports and shipping.

On Day 2, Kristine Carjova participated in Panel 4: Partnerships and Collaboration, which explored how Europe and Asia can build cross-continental alliances in policy, trade, and maritime innovation. Rather than discussing abstract frameworks, panellists focused on concrete enablers – trust, mutual interests, and the value of long-term cooperation between academia, industry, and decision-makers.

Beyond the stage, the event also provided valuable opportunities for networking and exchange, including a meeting with Kristel Alver from the Estonian Embassy in Singapore.

Participation in GreenSEA 2026 reflects BALTIC-FIT’s commitment to international dialogue and its role in connecting the Baltic Sea region to broader global conversations on maritime decarbonisation.
