BALTIC-FIT at Meremess 2025

From 7 to 9 March 2025, the international maritime exhibition Meremess 2025 took place at the Eesti Näituste Messikeskus exhibition centre in Tallinn. This is the largest event in the region’s maritime industry, showcasing over 200 different vessels, including motorboats, yachts, and sailboats. More than 105 companies from Estonia and abroad participated in the exhibition.

Members of the Maritime Transport Research Group—Deniece M. Aiken, Kristel Rauk, Kristine Carjova, Seçil Gülmez, and Kristin Kerem—attended the event. The BALTIC-FIT project was represented by Kristel Rauk and Kristine Carjova, while Seçil Gülmez participated as a representative of the Sustainable Flow project. Deniece M. Aiken and Kristin Kerem attended as guests.

Over the course of three days, the BALTIC-FIT team introduced visitors to the project’s objectives and its role in promoting environmentally friendly solutions for Baltic Sea vessels, ensuring compliance with Fit-for-55 regulations.

Participation in Meremess 2025 enabled BALTIC-FIT to establish connections with key players in the maritime industry, exchange expertise, and present its initiatives to a wider audience. Moreover, the exhibition provided an opportunity to explore the latest advancements in shipbuilding and maritime technologies, supporting the project’s further development and strengthening its position in the region.
