BALTIC-FIT at the Maritime, Offshore Energy, and Port Logistics Conference 2025 

On April 10th, 2025, the Maritime, Offshore Energy, and Port Logistics (MOEPL 2025) conference took place in Klaipėda, Lithuania. Organised by the Lithuanian Maritime Academy (Vilnius Tech), the event brought together researchers, business leaders, policymakers, and public sector representatives to discuss key challenges and innovations in maritime transport, renewable offshore energy, and sustainable port development. 

The BALTIC-FIT project was represented by Kristine Carjova from the Maritime Transport Research Group, who actively participated in the sessions and networking opportunities. The conference featured expert panels on maritime decarbonisation, offshore energy systems, and smart logistics solutions.  

Vaclac Stankevič, Director of the Lithuanian Maritime Academy, kicked off the conference with a warm Director’s welcome, setting the tone for a day of meaningful exchanges. 

The event reinforced the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in driving environmental innovation. With shared goals and a vibrant exchange of ideas, the conference underscored the critical role of transnational partnerships in achieving sustainability in the Baltic Sea region.
