BALTIC-FIT Project at ABB Baltics Maritime Day Conference 2024

On November 14, 2024, the BALTIC-FIT project team participated in the ABB Baltics Maritime Day conference, held in Tallinn, Estonia. The conference brought together around 80 industry professionals, including experts from the Estonian Maritime Academy of Tallinn University of Technology and representatives from the public sector, to discuss the latest developments and innovative technologies in the maritime industry.

The event began at ABB’s One Campus in Jüri, where attendees toured the Drives factory, Motors and Generators factory, and Service Workshop. The second part of the conference took place at the Radisson Collection Hotel, where a seminar was held to focus on key topics such as electrification in the maritime and port sectors, ship modernization, and decarbonization.

The BALTIC-FIT team, represented by Kristel Toom, Kristi Treffner, and Kristine Carjova, participated in the conference as guests and contributed actively to discussions. Their participation also provided valuable opportunities to explore potential collaborations aimed at advancing sustainable maritime technologies. Additionally, the event proved to be a great platform for strengthening the BALTIC-FIT network and fostering new connections with stakeholders from various sectors.
