The BALTIC-FIT project kick-off meeting was held on September 11, 2024, in Tallinn. Consortium partners TalTech, VTT, RISE, and Anromind, gathered to align on the project’s objectives and timelines, laying the groundwork for the upcoming milestones.
The meeting was opened by Roomet Leiger, Director of the Estonian Maritime Academy. The involvement of the advisory board members, including Jaak Viilipus, Wolfgang Lehmacher, Suvi-Tuuli Lappalainen, Hele-Mai Metsal, Maarius Utso, Björn Garberg Elisa Mikkolainen facilitated the start of the long-term collaboration with the Baltic Sea maritime stakeholders on the topic of maritime decarbonisation. Some of the mentioned members attended the kick-off meeting in person, others joined online.
The work package leaders and all participants of the meeting made valuable contributions and contributed to fruitful discussions and planning of the upcoming project activities.
It was an inspiring opportunity to meet face-to-face and lay a solid foundation for the 3 years of collaborative work on the BALTIC-FIT project.
