Staff Exchange at the University of Dubrovnik

On 18 September 2025, the BALTIC-FIT, Sustainable Flow, and Erasmus projects came together for a staff exchange hosted by the University of Dubrovnik in Croatia. Representing the Maritime Transport Research Group at TalTech’s Estonian Maritime Academy, Deniece Aiken, Seçil Oğuz, Kristine Carjova, and Riina Otsason took part in the programme.

The visit included in-depth discussions and a workshop dedicated to the sustainability of maritime transport. It created a strong platform for knowledge exchange, encouraged collaboration between Baltic and Adriatic institutions, and opened up new perspectives for advancing greener maritime futures.

For the BALTIC-FIT team, the staff exchange not only supported academic mobility but also strengthened international cooperation across EU-funded initiatives. The engagement with colleagues from Dubrovnik underlined the importance of cross-border collaboration in addressing sustainability challenges that affect all European seas.

Special thanks go to Srdjan Vujicic (Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Dubrovnik) and Sandra Memunic (Head of the International Relations Office, University of Dubrovnik), for their warm welcome and commitment to building bridges between institutions.
