On 7 October 2026, the BALTIC-FIT project held its third online training on Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation (DCE), continuing the project’s capacity-building activities for researchers. The session was led by Anna Zmiievska, EU-funding expert from Anromind OÜ, and focused on increasing the visibility, accessibility and long-term impact of research results.
Building on the previous two trainings, the session explored the differences between dissemination, communication and exploitation, alongside Open Science and Open Access requirements in Horizon Europe projects. Participants learned about European Commission expectations for managing research results throughout the project lifecycle, from proposal development to post-project exploitation.
The training also introduced practical tools such as CORDIS, Zenodo, OpenAIRE and ORCID, highlighting their role in making research outputs accessible and strengthening researchers’ professional profiles. Special attention was given to the use of AI in research communication, opportunities for future funding and the importance of connecting scientific results with potential users.
Using examples from BALTIC-FIT research, including a study on greenhouse gas emissions from Estonia’s pilot fleet, the session demonstrated how scientific findings can reach policymakers, industry stakeholders and other relevant audiences.
The training concluded with practical recommendations for improving the visibility and future use of BALTIC-FIT results, encouraging researchers to share their outputs, maintain their professional profiles and identify opportunities for further exploitation.
