EARMA Annual Conference 2026 Highlights the Role of Research Management

From 5 to 7 May 2026, the EARMA Annual Conference in Utrecht, the Netherlands, brought together research managers and administrators from across Europe to discuss the evolving role of research support in a changing funding landscape.

Kristel Rauk (Estonian Maritime Academy) participated in the event within the framework of the BALTIC-FIT project, contributing to discussions on how research management supports impact, international collaboration, and stronger research systems.

The programme covered a wide range of topics, including research project management, funding opportunities, impact assessment, open science, and the growing use of artificial intelligence in research administration, alongside professional development for research managers.

The conference provided a platform for exchange with peers from universities and research organisations across Europe, offering practical insights and ideas that can support the development of research and innovation activities at the Estonian Maritime Academy.
