Meet the Keynote Speakers for Innovation Workshop #3

What will it take to build more connected, decarbonised and resilient logistics across the Baltic Sea region? At BALTIC-FIT Innovation Workshop #3, three keynote speakers will approach this question from different but closely connected perspectives.

Per Thöresson, former Swedish Ambassador and senior diplomat, will set the broader geopolitical, trade and economic context for the future of Baltic Sea logistics. Henning Schleyerbach, Chair of the Virtual Watch Tower and former COO of the Digital Container Shipping Association, will focus on the transition from fragmented digitalisation towards interoperable and collaborative logistics ecosystems. Mattias Elfström from the Swedish Armed Forces will bring the perspective of resilience and total-defence logistics, including what these priorities may require from the transport system.

Their contributions will set the context for further dialogue and collaborative work between representatives of industry, ports, public authorities, digital service providers, and research organisations during the workshop.

BALTIC-FIT Innovation Workshop #3, organised by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, will take place on 4–5 November 2026 in Marstrand, Sweden. The workshop will focus on practical pathways towards greener, more connected and resilient logistics across the Baltic Sea region.
